Three Oaks Quarter Horses became a reality in 2004 for Kim McCool, owner. Having had horses most of her life, showing and breeding while in California, the opportunity to “home grow” her babies was now within reach! The mares have been carefully selected to offer top quality prospects to the Western Pleasure industry. While starting out only breeding to outside stallions, that all changed in July 2006.
Sams Club parking lot, Memphis, TN, mid July.. That is where Set For Life, aka Harper, came into her life. Yes, Sams Club parking lot! Kim headed to Memphis with 2 mares to meet her future star and his dam, also carrying a full offspring.
Harper and his dam were traveling from Ohio for the clandestine meeting in Memphis. The trade was made and the beginning of owning a stallion began! Harper was a yearling and drop dead gorgeous when he stepped off that trailer and it was apparent that he had a future as a sire. So a BIG thank you to James Boling for dropping by Three Oaks Quarter Horses that June to look at prospects and telling me about this young stallion prospect! And a BIGGER thank you to Jack Credit for selling me Harper !
Located about 80 miles east of Dallas, please give us a call if you would like to meet Harper and his girls. And you won’t be disappointed when the 2009 first foal crop arrives! We hope to see you!
